you may print out the order
form and look through our availability
list
You may mail or fax in your order with your payment.
We ship on Monday and Tuesday every week as soon
as it gets warm enough, and we then stop when summer arrives (around early
to mid June). Shipping will then resume in the Fall. We use this system
to maintain optimal health for the plants. The size of the plants is 4"
unless otherwise specified. This means that the plants are grown in 4"
pots and have well established root systems for optimal health.
We will not send you your plants if you request them to be sent during
a time that would hurt the plants. We will send the plants as close to
your requested ship date as possible. Your plants will only ever be shipped
on Monday or Tuesday. If your order is placed during the late fall and
it has become to cold to ship, we will not ship your plants until Spring.
You may alternatively order in the spring. Orders received in the winter,
of course are shipped first.
Shipping rates are not determined by us. USPS determines
these rates and there is little we can do to convince them to charge us
less. Feel free to make an appointment to come visit if you do not want
to pay for shipping. We pack your plants carefully and properly to ensure
that your ferns are happy on arrival. We want you and the plants to be happy when your
order arrives.

WE DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES.
Orders over $100 reduce shipping to 10%, 30%, and 30 %
respectively
All sales are final.
We only ship plants in good condition. We use a shipping schedule that
ensures your plants arrive happy and healthy. In the extremely unlikely
event that your plants arrive in poor condition, a credit will be issued.
If we recommend against a fern due to environmental compatibilty (no
you cannot have tree ferns outside in minnesota in winter) and a customer
declines our advice, we will
not replace the plants damaged due to improper care after delivery.
By ordering plants against our advice, customer is responsible for plant
replacement and waives all rights for plant replacement.

I haver ordered ferns from Judith at Fancy Fronds
several times since the late nineties (back when
catalogs were still printed on paper...). My experience
has always been the best possible. Judith is very
knowledgeable about ferns and very helpful when you
have a question or concern. The ferns are top quality,
excellent size and very reasonably priced. This winter
I contacted Judith to see if she would be able to
find me some Dicksonia fibrosas (a tree fern that,
from my experience, appears to do better than D.
antarctica here in NE Georgia) and she went out of
her way to get me some. I will continue to order
from her as long as I have room for "one more fern". |

I was tempted to try ordering from this company
after viewing a positive comment on here and after
much research about ferns and the "quest" for a few
new varieties. I received my order in perfect condition
and was most pleased. I even found a free gift with
my order, a nice plus! I will be ordering from Judith
again, she was great at communicating the status
of my order and shipment too.
I am now spoiled by Garden Watchdog and find that if I check out
a company first on here and find them to be a positive, then all
will be well. I have received at least 10 orders this spring and
I am very pleased with every plant. I don't know what I'd do without
GW. |

I purchased 14 ferns in the spring of 2003 from
Fancy Fronds and must say, I am very pleased with
the transaction in every regard. The web site is
just great. Their selection of ferns is the largest
that I've found on the web. Judith was very patient
and responsive to all of my questions. My order was
packed very carefully and arrived ontime and in great
shape. And all of the ferns survived the year. I
will definately return to Fancy Fronds to purchase
my next order of ferns!!! |

I was pleased and impressed after placing my first
order this summer. Web site is informative, communication
is clear and prompt, shipping is timely, packaging
is careful, and plants are in excellent condition.
It leaves me looking for other spots to plant more
ferns next year, and I'll certainly order them from
Judith at Fancy Fronds. |

Have been buying ferns from Fancy Ferns for at least
6 years. Variety is fantastic. The quality of the
goods can't be beat. I sent a photo of a fern to
Judith at FF a couple of years ago. In a personal
note she identified the fern -- but alas, didn't
have any in stock. |

My experience with this nursery was entirely positive.
I ordered several ferns from Fancy Fronds after spending
much time on their informative and helpful website.
My ferns arrived promptly and were packed so well
that not a frond was damaged, even though the delivery
person left the box on end on my porch. The ferns
themselves were much better than expected, being
of good size, well rooted, and having the most beautiful
green, unblemished fronds. They really surpassed
anything available locally. I definately would order
from Fancy Fronds again. |

I searched the internet obsessively for ferns; Fancy
Fronds had the best variety by far, and prices are
average or better. Shipping is perhaps a little high,
but not out of line.
The ferns arrived today and they are large, healthy, vigorous specimens.
I'm very happy. If I could offer a suggestion for improvement,
it would be to include cultivation info with the plants -- but,
after all, that's available on their website. |

This website is fern heaven! I took a chance last
spring and indulged in an assortment of 8 ferns.
The amount of intimate fern information is incredible.
You know right away that these people love ferns
and generously pass on their knowledge. After researching
which ferns would perform best in my zone in Northern
California, I submitted my order. My ferns arrived
in perfect condition. I potted them in containers
and summered them over in a cool greenhouse. The
ferns were so amazing that I couldn't bear to plant
them out in the landscape just then. They looked
so good on the greenhouse bench all summer, I let
them stay on display and admired them daily. I'll
plant them out this spring in various locations but
I'll no doubt replace the "greenhouse display" with
another order from Fancy Fronds and start the process
all over again. |

This nursery appears to have the most extensive

Most are in the $4 to $8 price range. I have only
ordered once, but shipment was prompt, the plants
were healthy and good sized and packed well. I'll
be ordering again. |
